Rectus sheath hematoma (RSH) is a relatively rare clinical condition, resulting from bleeding into the rectus sheath, after damage to the epigastric arteries or by direct muscular tear. It has been strongly associated with blunt abdominal trauma and anticoagulation, and several more, less common, predisposing factors.
