The permeation completes when the gas pressure difference and consolidation stress reach the maximum. The powder would not be further consolidated after the permeation ending point. WebMany powders have particles of small size and irregular shape. They are cohesive and do not flow well. Granulation leads to larger more homogenous particles with better flow characteristics, improving the tablet making process. Compacted granules occupy less volume/unit weight compared with powder and is easier to store and ship.
